We collect names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses from individuals who attend trade shows or meetings and who request to be placed on DevelopMentor’s mailing list or to receive more information about DevelopMentor offerings.

We occasionally purchase lists from list providers that include identifying information (such as names, email address and/or postal address). We purchase lists only from providers who offer opted in lists; that is, individuals on the list have indicated that they wish to receive offers from companies like DevelopMentor.

We also collect email addresses of those who communicate with us via email.

• Survey responses, such as evaluation surveys or surveys conducted on our website related to the website or course offerings
• Feedback voluntarily provided by users and students, such as completion of the “tell me more” form
• Course registration data, such as employer or past programming experience

How Your Information Is Used:

In addition to using this information to registering you for a course or an account, we use your email address and/or postal address and/or phone numbers to communicate with you on any of the following:

• To provide updates and information on course locations, instructors and materials or other information pertinent to courses for which you have registered;
• To provide updates and information on your DevelopMentor online account and the website offerings;
• To notify you about other DevelopMentor and DevelopMentor partner offerings that might be of interest to you;
• To respond to inquiries or correspondence that you have initiated.

We use credit card and billing information only to cover the purchase of services or products requested by you and supplied by DevelopMentor.

We use survey responses, other feedback and the additional information provided during course registration to improve the content, look and offerings on our website, to improve the courses we offer, and to identify needs for additional offerings. These data are generally used in aggregate and are not associated with your personal identifying information. If we wish to associate your feedback with your identifying information (for example, publishing a quote in our materials or on our website), we will first obtain your permission.

The DevelopMentor website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. Your name, email address, phone number and associated data are maintained on secured files accessible only by DevelopMentor. However, as with any Internet endeavor, absolute security of information transmitted through channels (communication networks, hardware, software) not directly operated or controlled by us or our partners cannot be guaranteed.

The information you provide via offline means (such as, class evaluation forms) is similarly secured. As a rule, hard copy information is transferred to electronic media as soon as possible and the hard copy is shredded/destroyed. Hard copy information, retained either temporarily or permanently is secured in locked file storage and accessible only by DevelopMentor staff who have a business need for accessing the information.

We use cookies on the DevelopMentor website to keep track of your session and to facilitate use of certain features of this website. You can disable the cookies by altering your browser settings, but certain features of this website may not function properly and your use of our website may become cumbersome.

In the unlikely event any substantial changes are made to this privacy policy, users with a DevelopMentor account, students who have taken courses from us and for whom we have email and those who have been included on our email lists via other mechanisms will be notified via email (provided you are still on our email list). Examples of substantial changes include changes in the way your identifying information will be used or shared. Minor changes also may be made (for example to clarify points based on user feedback or to change contact information if there are changes in administrative staff). We will not send email notification about such minor changes. The most recent version of the policy will always appear on this website.
